Q. CAN ANYONE DO IT?

A. Yes, the work we do at EOB CrossFit is scaled to every individual’s abilities and personal goals.

Q. ISN’T IT KIND OF EXPENSIVE?

A. We have a small, but committed community in our gym. Do not compare our prices to other gyms, we cannot be compared to any typical gym where you pay a flat fee to come in and use the equipment. We program your workouts for you, instruct movements daily, offer nutritional and programming advice if desired, and guide you through scaling and developments in your workouts every time you walk in the door. If you take full advantage of your membership, classes can run anywhere from $7.50/class to $15/class depending on what you sign up for. We believe each client gets every penny worth what they pay.

Q. DO I NEED TO BE IN SHAPE FIRST?

A. You absolutely do not need to be in shape to begin CrossFit. Workouts are scaled down with lighter weights, less reps, and fewer rounds to meet the needs of beginning trainees. It still won’t be easy, but we don’t expect a new athlete to perform like an experienced one should.

Q. IS IT SAFE?

A. You can injure yourself in any activity, but CrossFit is more safe than many activities people perform every day. If clients follow the proper steps as instructed by the trainer the window of opportunity for injury are small. First: mechanics (learning how to do the movements with correct technique), Second: Consistency (the ability to do the movements over and over again with safe and relatively efficient technique), Third: Intensity (the speed at which you do the movements). One does not come before the other. We start with Mechanics every session and uphold standards throughout the workout. The more fit you become the less likely you are to injure yourself inside or outside the gym.
